Hello Southwest Basketball Family. I hope you are all enjoying the weather as it is getting very nice outside. Try to do something as a family while enjoying the sunshine. Also, keep working hard in the classroom as well as on the court so you can finish off the school year on a positive note.
Our Summer Basketball Camp for Boys in Grades 3-8 (current grade level) will be held at Southwest High School during the afternoons on June 25-28. See the link posted on our home page for more information.
Congratulations go out to Aaron Moesch for being chosen second team All-FRCC this past season. We are very excited about the improvement our high school team is making and are looking forward to next season.
I know the summer can be a very busy time but try to become stronger, faster, a better ball handler, shooter, and passer. Good luck to all of our spring sport athletes.
Hope to see you soon.

It’s hard to believe Basketball season is about ready to begin. I hope you are as excited as I am to begin a new season and see how much improvement we have made. I know many of you, as well as your parents and coaches, have put in a lot of time in the off-season to become better. Remember, it all starts in SCHOOL! I want you to do well in school in addition to succeeding on the basketball court.
Next, I want to thank all our future players who attended our Fall Camp. I really enjoy seeing you work hard to become better. I also want to invite you all to our 1st annual Blue/White Scrimmage on November 22nd at 7:00pm at SW High School. This night will give you a chance to see how hard our student-athletes work at practice to become better players. In addition, afterwards you will be able to talk with our Varsity players and get their autographs. Furthermore, we want to invite your families to attend. Also, I will be posting information about a Coaches vs. Cancer game our team will be participating in. We are going to raise money for a very good cause – fighting cancer – and hope our youth players/families will be a part of it with us.
Remember to thank your parents and coaches for the opportunity to grow on the basketball court. Basketball teaches you many important lessons that you can take with you when your playing days are over. Play Hard, Study Hard, and Enjoy the experience!

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. I know it is going by very fast. I just wanted to take a moment to remind everyone about our Southwest Summer Youth Basketball Camp which is approaching very quickly. It will be held July 25-28 at GB Southwest High School. You can click on the camp brochure link to download a form. I hope to see as many of our young players there as possible.
I also want to say thank you to all the players, parents and coaches who are working so hard on developing and improving our players skills this summer. I have had the pleasure of watching our players participate in league games at Notre Dame, as well as our high school leagues in West DePere and at Bay Port. Thanks again to all the coaches and parents who have been instrumental in the success of our program.
Enjoy your remaining time with Family and Friends and I look forward to seeing you soon.
Keep up the good work Trojans !

Hello Southwest Basketball Family:
Spring fever is approaching fast. I have been pleased with the dedication and effort of all our Youth Basketball Players and Coaches and want to thank them for all they have done over the winter months. Great Basketball PLAYERS are made during the off-season, Great TEAMS are made during the season. Hopefully our players will use the Spring and Summer to enjoy themselves, participate in other sports, finish up their last weeks of school on a good note, and improve on their basketball skills. I hope to see many of you at our Spring Basketball Camp in May as well as our Summer Camp.
Again, thanks for all you do to improve Southwest Basketball.

Happy New Year!
First of all I would like to thank all the Youth Basketball parents for all their time and effort that went into our Southwest Youth Basketball Tournament in December. It would not have been successful without your help ordering concessions, setting up the gym, working the admission table, and of course taking orders for concessions, etc. Special thanks to the Coaches and Board members as well.
It is very exciting to see all of our teams working so hard at the game of basketball. Please remember to thank your dedicated coaches for all their time teaching the game to you. Remember: BE COACHABLE.
Finally, I would like to invite all our youth basketball players and coaches to our game on Friday February 4th, 2011. That is our SW Youth Basketball Night.
More information will be out soon, but mark your calendars.
Keep working hard in school and on the court. See you soon.

The basketball season has been in full swing for a few weeks now and I hope you are enjoying it. I am very proud of all the youth players who continue to work hard at improving their game as well as the coaches and parents who play such a vital role in that development. Hopefully everyone is still finding time to make sure their school work gets done as well.
Our High School teams are ready to begin conference play this week and are excited to see how much we have been improving. Remember the saying “You will only get out of it what you put into it.” Put forth your best effort in all you do and you will see great results.
Good Luck to all of you and I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming youth tournament as well as our high school games.
Go Trojans !

Hello. First of all I would like to welcome you to Southwest Youth Basketball. I am very excited to get the 2010-2011 Basketball Season started. I would like to extend a sincere thank you to the youth coaches, SWYBO officers and board members for all their time and effort that goes into making sure our kids have a great experience. Without them this would not be possible. I would also like to thank the Parents/Guardians of the players participating. I know our lives are hectic and busy, but without your support the kids would not get to practices or games. I look forward to seeing you at practice and games, as well as our high school games. GO SOUTHWEST!
